The Faerie Path by Frewin Jones, a pseudonym for prolific British YA fantasy author Allan Frewin Jones (ISFDB), is the 1st novel in his Faerie Path series of YA hidden heritage portal fantasy split between the modern mortal world of London and the secret world of Faerie as a young woman discovers that she is a centuries-lost princess, this installment setting up her return to court as her former fiancée finally locates her, only to find herself torn between her two worlds even as she must relearn her old life and face a threat to Faerie, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher HarperCollins' HarperTeen imprint.

This is B&N's featured Free Fridays selection for the weekend and seems to be exclusive to them. Incidentally, I advise you not to look up the synopses for future installments of the series, which contain significant spoilers for what would seem to be important plot twists in this one. That said, it looks like the obligatory love triangle subplot gets resolved pretty quickly and the rest of the series is about the princess finding her footing and having problem-solving adventures.
