I was just checking the current generation of KOBO readers on their site and there's no mention of a micro sd card slot for any of them. Does this mean KOBO has gone the Amazon route or is the info just incomplete?

The Aura H2O still has a micro SD slot. The specs page I can see has: "4 GB on-board memory, holds up to 3,000 eBooks. Option to expand up to 32 GB with a microSD card" in the storage section.

Don't know, browsing from Europe I get directed here: the Specs tab for the Aura H2O just says

Yup, the pdf with the readers comparison still quotes the micro sd slot

Can I rotate texts in epub in order to read them in orizontal landscape mode?
Better a patch in firmware if there is one for my Kobo Aura One.

Yes, if you install KOReader. With only the stock k/epub engines, not really.
