Currently only free for UK Kindle customers, but suspect it will be for US customers, as well, soon:

Second Sight Dating by Marianne Stephens (UK link). Pre-order for February 14, 2011.

Book Description
Psychic Serena Xavier owns Second Sight Dating, a matchmaking business. Although successful in matching others, her "second sight" failed miserably in finding herself a trustworthy man.

Detective Dan Carrington becomes one of her clients as part of an undercover investigation. His job is to find out if her business is legitimate or a cover for a sex-for-hire scheme, possibly with mob connections.

All vibrations from Dan lead Serena to believe he's being honest with her. Upon catching him snooping through her files, she has to consider the possibility that he's a gigolo looking to secure clients through her business. Despite doubts about each other's honesty, a growing attraction leads to a night of passion. Serena wonders who he really is, as Dan ponders her true business motives.

Also, run over to Ellora's Cave and grab it there for free, in your choice of DRM-free formats (use Mobi for transfer to your Kindle). This is from Ellora's Cave Blush imprint, so there are no graphic love scenes, just suggestive romance.

Things aren't going well for Shanna Whelan either...After witnessing a gruesome murder by the Russian mafia, she's next on their hit list. And her career as a dentist appears to be on a downward spiral because she's afraid of blood. When Roman rescues her from an assassination attempt, she wonders if she's found the one man who can keep her alive. Though the attraction between them is immediate and hot, can Shanna conquer her fear of blood to fix Roman's fang? And if she does, what will prevent Roman from using his fangs on her...

Puzzazz has introduced an interesting looking variant of Sudoku, Symdoku Unbound #1 ($2.99), for the Kindle. Rather than numbers or letters (Wordoku Unbound #1 has you use letters from a word in each square). I found Wordoku more difficult in some ways, as it seems to force a different part of your brain to solve the puzzle, so I suspect this one will be more challenging as well. From the pictures, it looks like you use the letters at the left side of the Kindle keyboard to enter the symbols (or the 5-way controller), so you don't have to fight with the SYM key or the number keys.

Book Description
Enjoy the challenge of Sudoku? Then this uniquely designed puzzle book is just for you. Symdoku takes the original Sudoku to a whole new level using shapes, instead of numbers.

Fortunately, you don't have to draw the symbols, just match them up with the corresponding keys, and you're on your way. This unbound puzzle collection gives you a great solving experience right on the page. Of course, you can use in-cell notes as you solve, just like you do on paper. If you're stuck, move on to a different puzzle -- you can always turn back to that page later. Or, get a hint and keep going.

You'll be both challenged and delighted with this book of 100 puzzles that fit your personal skill level, because you can change from easy to medium to hard or back at any time. Whatever your skill and solving style, you'll appreciate that each puzzle can be played at three levels of difficulty.

Just FYI for those who enjoyed Milrose Munce and the Den of Professional Help (Extended Edition) By Douglas Anthony Cooper:

I loved the first book, so I was very happy to see that there's a book 2 out now - Milrose Munce and the Plague of Toxic Fungus by Douglas Anthony Cooper for just $0.99. Just in case there are other fans of the first book here too.

Quote:
Product Description
This is the second gruesome volume in the Milrose Munce saga. The first, Milrose Munce and the Den of Professional Help, was #1 on both the Children's and Teen bestseller lists on Amazon, and received all sorts of pleasant reviews from newspapers and magazines around the world.

The Plague of Toxic Fungus is a more uncomfortable book than the first, in that sad things happen: for example, nefarious and loathsome plants separate happy couples, either by devouring one party, or by turning the other party into something mossy and indigestible. Milrose and his beloved, the exquisitely pretentious Arabella, are chief among the couples threatened in this way.

On a more somber note: some of Milrose's friends -- most of whom are repulsive ghosts -- are in danger of dying.

Bridge To Happiness, by Jill Barnett, free in the Kindle store.

Book Description
From the luxury of San Francisco's famous hills to the wild freedom of the majestic snow-covered Sierra Mountains, BRIDGE TO HAPPINESS is the intensely dramatic story of one woman's life, the idyllic moments, her humanity, her love, and finally, the difficult road she must walk alone...to discover the strong woman she is destined to become. When March Randolph meets Mike Cantrell, she has no idea how her life will change, and how time will change her. For over three decades she and Mike forge a marriage, a family and a business together, helping to make snowboarding into a popular, worldwide winter sport, and raising four strong-willed and independent children into a adulthood, never once fearing the future won't be as golden as their past. In a heartbeat everything changes, and March and her family suffer a tragic change, one that drives a schism into her once perfect life, and will test the bonds of love and family far beyond any definition of recovery. Suddenly March is stuck in the past, unable to move forward, and only if she, alone, finds the strength and will to move on, can any of the Cantrells have a single, glimmer of hope at a new life of happiness.

Pride and Prejudice The Wild and Wanton Edition, by Jane Austen and Michelle Pillow, courtesy of the publisher, Adams Media, who arranged to have A Child al Confino free a couple of weeks ago.

Book Description
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife . . . in bed. Unfortunately, you’ve never been able to see Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam indulging their every desire between the sheets--until now. In this deliciously naughty update of the beloved classic, you can peek behind the closed doors of Pemberley’s master bedroo--and revel in the sexual delights of your favorite couple.

From first kiss to orgasmic finish, Pride and Prejudice: The Wild and Wanton Edition is your dream come true about the famous pai--the story you love, with the heat turned up to high. It will come as no surprise that the dashing Mr. Darcy is as passionate and intense with his knickers off as he is with them on--and that the ebullient Elizabeth is as saucy disrobed as clothed. So let the revelry begin . . . .

Fat, Forty, Fired: One Man's Frank, Funny, and Inspiring Account of Losing His Job and Finding His Life, by Nigel Marsh

As a stressed husband and father of four small children under the age of eight, Nigel Marsh was enslaved to his mortgage, recuperating from an embarrassing surgery, and suddenly fired from his corporate career. Deciding to venture "off the treadmill" in search of a more meaningful and balanced existence, Marsh tackled the art of hands-on parenting while simultaneously training for an ocean swimming race and coming to terms with his alcoholism. Touching on topics ranging from marital sex (or lack thereof), dieting, and parenthood to work, love, football, religion, self-help books, and sharks, Marsh makes his U.S. debut after enjoying best-seller status in Australia and the U.K. with this provocative and funny book.
