Removing Mobipocket DRM

can anyone tell me in words of one syllable how I can remove the DRM from my legitimately purchased Mobipocket ebooks to read on my legitimately purchased Sony ereader? I already have Calibre which I'm sure will work perfectly once the DRM has been removed.

Sorry, we cannot answer such a "blatant" question - it is against forum policy.

I guess the right answer, in words of one syllable, is:

No, we can't.

Apologies - I have no wish to violate the rules. Just want to read MY books on MY new device - all bought and paid for in good faith

Is "Google" a bisyllabic word?
And "Dark Reverser"? How many syllables?

For general advice on how to run python scripts on ebooks, see Visual Kindle Guide. The KindlePID page covers installing python, and KindleFIX is a script which modifies MOBI ebook files to allow (some of) them to run on a Kindle. It does not remove DRM, so we can talk freely about KindleFIX here, but mobidedrm is similar except that it has different arguments.

I could use some help on this too. I downloaded the Mobipocket reader, a free sample, the mobidedrm python stuff is installed and I get as far as opening a command prompt window then to the free Mobi sample I have but the Visual Kindle Guide doesn't help me accomplish the task at hand. I'm helpless when it comes to computer-speak! I don't want to violate rules so if someone could PM me step-by-step instructions I would be deeply grateful!
