Is it possible to request a book into ebook form?

I've been searching for so long for a place to ask this question since I have yet to see it anywhere I've looked.

Is it possible to specially request that a book be made into an ebook? I really like the idea of these e readers and all and would certainly get me back into reading again considering how convient it'd be for someone like me who can settle down for to long (in the military, navy to be specific). There are a few books that I have that I would love to see as an ebook but have yet to find them which is why I'm prompted to ask this question.

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my question.

Certainly - you need to ask the publisher. Whether they'll do anything about it is, of course, a different matter, but if enough people request it, they could be stirred into action.

Thanks, I'm pretty sure there won't be much of a clamor for martial arts books to be pushed into that format but it's good to know that the option is there. Thank you for answering.
