Microsoft Reader for WM6.0 & WM6.1 devices is now available

Microsoft finally released an updated version of MSReader for Windows Mobile 6.0 & 6.1 devices (for .LIT books). You can learn about it and download it here.

But wait a minute... the existing version seem to work fine on my WM6 running PPC6800.

(I never tried to install it on it on my WM6.1 Saga)

Though with LIT being so easy to convert, IMO it's not that big of a deal.

ie, the only thing keeping Lit alive is that it's one of the easiest format to unDRM and to convert.

Is anyone still selling DRM'd LIT-eBooks?!?

I'm just asking myself: What are the chances of seeing a Microsoft Reader version with implemented ADE-ePub support?

That and it's one of the best quality formats to start a conversion from.

Any body tried to install on 2003 second edition and see if it works? I wish they'd update the older version too. There are still lots of PDA's out there with 2003 on them.

They have 2.4.1 for 2003 which is the current version for download on everything from 2003 to 5.0, although the rotate option won't work until at least 2003SE. I have used this version for several years now. It has not been updated. Version 2.4.2 is only for 6.0-6.1

Yes, it's the format I choose when the prc/mobi format sucks (almost all the time with the Multiformat at Fictionwise ) !
(And when the secured Mobipocket is not available !)
