@nasser:
* I seem to recall someone that posted the "missing esc key" fixed file. * Perhaps cubemike had also loaded a different system font. |

See comparison in a single image..
Cubemike's bolder version on top.. Using same keyboard.xml file on my PW at bottom.. Definitely different.. what gives..? |

The keyboard uses images and not font characters. I don't remember now, but I suppose that cubemike resized those images. You might make your own images as well.

Doesn't look like a one shot batch re-size job.. Would request Cubemike to upload his images and save us re-inventing the wheel.. or rather re-sizing the images.. |

Ok.. Got it..
Cubemike had already uploaded his images in this post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=100 ..and his keyboard.xml file in this post: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...&postcount=110 Now.. mixing the standard keyboard.xml(from the latest kterm dump) and Cubemike's images produced a grotesque result -- there was a second image of the keyboard below the 1st one and some the keys on the right side got truncated.. Using Cubemike's keyboard.xml along with his images worked.. only the layout is missing the esc key (and what else?).. So it looks like Cubemike's keyboard.xml file needs to be modified to match the standard layout.. Will give it a try.. |

Bolder kterm(and frotz) keyboard font for kindle paperwhite
Did it..!
Modified Cubemike's layout to match layout of baf's kterm v0.6 package.. See screenshots.. Did it by feel.. couldn't really make out logic of the various tags: fill, extended, width, etc.. Have attached Cubemike's original image folder and my modified keyboard.xml file.. these have to go into mnt/us/extensions/kterm/layouts/ |

Keyboard.xml -- 3 mismappings.. :-(

Did a more detailed check and further found that '[,]' has been mapped to shifted-[] and '{,}' to [].. should be other way round.. All these corrected in revised file attached.. Sorry to all.. |
