I gues I also have to find the “latest” update as yesterday half my purchased books did not convert. Tool was unable to read them it seems.

There is an update on Satsuoni's GitHub site for Amazon K4W 1.0.23514. See the Releases section for 10.0.31.

One note is that if you do not delete the Data directory or it's contents, the MSIXKFXArch tool will attempt to fall back to a previous version when the Kindle app is updated. So far, that has worked to allow removing DRM from KFX ebooks. This does require a manual cleanup now and then to keep the directory from growing without limits.

Hmm. Normally I am really good with programming and the like and keeping files isolated and backed up as well as NOT losing important links and the like. But yes it seemed I had to indeed do a little clean up to fix my links.
And yes Satsuani is impressive with his ability to keep things moving forward and staying ahead. I know eventually I am going to lose access to books I purchase in the future but until then I do owe a ton of thanks to those on this forum.

[QUOTE=BelleZora;4607230]I've had no problem entering at least two dozen downloaded Kindle books to Calibre from Kindle for Windows. But this morning I tried to add two from KFX Archiver to Calibre. Neither showed up in the download file. Is anyone else unable to add books to Calibre today?[/QUOTE

I updated dedrm to 10.0.31. Still didn't work since problem occurred before I could add the books to Calibre. So I reinstalled the Kindle for Windows app. That solved the problem. The Kindle books are now in Calibre.

Maybe read the very first post in this topic?

Looks like there is a new, easier, more-widely applicable jailbreak out:

It’s not more widely applicable, it covers the same range of firmwares and models as Vera. However it is a bit easier.

I didn't check the list against Véra, so my recollection may be wrong, but I didn't think Véra supported all these, which is what this claims:

KOA3 (Kindle Oasis 3 2019 10th Gen)
KT4 (Kindle Basic 10th Generation)
PW4 (Paperwhite 10th Generation)
KT5 (Kindle Basic 11th Generation 2022 Release)
PW5 (Paperwhite 11th Generation)
KT6 (Kindle Basic 11th Generation 2024 Release)
PW6 (Paperwhite 12th Generation)
CS (Colorsoft)
KS (Scribe 2022 Release)
KS2 (Scribe 2024 Release)

As far as I can tell from the Kindle Modding pages, Vera will handle firmware 5.19.6 which Spidercat does not and Spidercat handles the Kindle 10th gen devices which Vera does not.

I haven't tried to import DRM'd books for ages, but i gave it a go today with complete success!

calibre: 7.21.0 (old)
DeDRM: 10.0.31 (latest pre-release)
KFX Input: 2.34.2 (latest)
Kindle for Windows: 1.0.23620 (latest)
Windows: Windows 11 Pro 25H2 (up-to-date)

The most recently published book I imported was January 2026.

One gotcha that almost got me: The new Kindle for Windows app allows you to specify where to save files, e.g. C:\Books\Kindle. In practice, it's probably better to copy the book folders out of that location into a staging area, then run the MSIXKFXArchiverMobi1_XXXXXX.exe on that location using the command line:

Code:
MSIXKFXArchiverMobi1_23620v2.exe "C:\Staging\Import"
This helps with only importing new books.

Personally, I just use the default location since I use the time stamps to select books to import to calibre, Say I ran KFXArch at 10:42AM today and then I import the books that match that time stamp. Every so often when there gets to be 10 or more books in the archived_kfx directory, I will clean it out after removing the downloads from K4W. KFXArch will not import books that already exist in the archived_kfx directory.
