Video displaying Fujitsu's bendable electronic paper

Fujitsu made available a short flash movie in Japanese demonstrating the world's first film substrate-based bendable color electronic paper. The company is still conducting test marketing and practical-use testing, and targets commercialization of its new paper sometime between April 2006 and March 2007.

Nice.

My Japanese is kinda rusty (read: non-existant), so I couldn't read the article. I love the technology and it's promise and my million-billion dollar mind is working overtime on the possibilities.

It does look cool, especially when the photo on the paper "slides" to the next.

Did anyone else think of the movie Minority Report when viewing this? Reminds me of the scene where the guy is reading a news paper and the top story changed to show breaking news. Doesn't quite seem so science fiction anymore.

The future is now. It's a good thing our sci-fi writers are giving our engineers something to shoot for.
