Unhappy 7 days, Dead screen. Awesome.

Ahhh *sigh*

I bought this awesome device 7 days ago. Had no idea on how fragile they were.. I was waiting on a cover from ebay to arrive as the local sony store had sold out.

Had it in my jacket pocket after reading on the train.. Got bumped into by some moron, and well.. The result is below. I'm somewhat devastated to say the least.. Knowing sony, the cost of fixing it would outweigh the actual cost of it.

Now if only Sony Australia had offered accident protection etc I would have jumped at it.. All they offer is the normal warranty + warranty extension.

Anyone know if it's possible to purchase a screen for these?

Sorry for the large size of the images..

Not sure if screens for current models are available, but ones for 505 are sold for 100+ Euro on ebay.
Add to that, that each screen has it's own calibration data ('waveforms") and I'm not sure I know how to figure them for a replacement screen. Having wrong CD will degrade screens performance.
