[bug] conversion eats 100% cpu and never stops - how to debug?
Dear all,
I am trying to convert an azw3 (kf8) book to epub (or kepub, tried both). In both cases the process *always* stuck at 47% with "Working..." and never terminates. I tried the same with calibre-debug -g, but the conversion didn't output any debug statements. Is there any way I can debug this? Calibre 2.45 on Debian/Linux. Thanks Norbert |

That is totally normal.
Conversion of books with complex markup have been known to take upwards of 48 hours. Especially dictionaries. If calibre doesn't freeze, the conversion is NOT "stuck", it is simply processing. There are like three different percentages that are EVER shown during conversion, it doesn't really output a lot of statuses. Use a computer with lots of RAM, that might help. Thanks - indeed. I saw it the first time (in several 100 books) and had to run it about 15min. Impressive...
Ok, case closed, thanks! |
