Red face M3 and iTunes - duplicate eBooks renamed

I am trying to download ebooks to M3 using the iTunes interface and noticed that some ebooks (imported into M3 yesterday) have different names (with a suffix) and so iTunes does not know there are duplicates.

Screenshot attached.

The books dated yesterday in the screenshot were imported using the Calibre server and all have a suffix added to the name. iTunes does not add a suffix and the names are the same as shown on the right of the screenshot taken from File Explorer.

Library index names of eBooks different

This is hopefully a clearer explanation

I don't know what term you use for the name used internally by Marvin so I have gone for Library Index name.

The point is, they are different when imported into M3 using the calibre server (OPDS) as compared to importing via iTunes. The Marvin app for calibre used to store the books with a Library Index Name as a string of numbers - totally unidentifiable to a user.

M3 doesn't change the filename of books so the suffix you're seeing must have been added from the source.
