Lightbulb Free (nook/Kindle/iTunes/DRM-free) Billy Graham by Sir David Frost [Xtian Interviews]

Billy Graham: Candid Conversations with a Public Man by the late renowned BBC journalist & interviewer Sir David Frost (Wikipedia, whom you may have also heard of via the Oscar-nominated Frost/Nixon film (Wikipedia)) is a transcripted collection of his lengthy and in-depth interviews with televangelist Billy Graham (Wikipedia) about Life, the Universe, and Everything religion, relationships, social and political issues, and much more, conducted over a 30-year period, free courtesy of Christian publisher David C. Cook.

This is really quite nifty, and should be of interest to anyone who's into journalism and/or studying social change over time and/or the factors which might influence the alteration or reinforcement in an individual's long-term views, as well as those who might be interested in whatever religious insights, etc.

In addition to the raw back-and-forth of the quoted interviews, Frost also adds in his own commentary on the context in which the questions were asked, his own thoughts on the matters and how Graham answered, mini-anecdotes, etc.

Currently free, probably just for the next couple of days @ B&N (may also drop in the UK after a day or so), Amazon UK (slated to drop in the main store after midnight Pacific Time), iTunes & Google Play (both available to Canadians), and also ChristianBook (DRM-Free ePub available to selected countries) & BookShout (available for online reading & app download), and possibly several other stores linked in the publisher's catalogue page.

And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Because it really is a very nice and informative in-depth freebie of the sort we don't really get all that often. And also because I still haven't gotten around to getting a copy to watch of Frost/Nixon, which I've been intending to do for ages, so this is kind of like the next best thing.

Enjoy!

Description
Most people know Billy Graham the preacher. Many know Billy Graham the author.

In this remarkable book, Graham reveals a personal side that few have seen before. For thirty years, Billy Graham and David Frost fascinated television audiences with their conversations about God, the Bible, and Graham’s decades-long ministry.

Frost asked the questions that thousands of viewers wanted to ask. Graham answered them with authenticity and grace. Along the way, Graham provided insight into life as an evangelist, a Christian father and grandfather, and a public figure in a changing culture. Most of all, Graham’s words show what it means to live out your beliefs—whether you speak to millions of people around the world or simply want to live faithfully at home and work.

With a chronology of Graham’s life, a preface from Frost, and a foreword from his grandson, Tullian Tchividjian, this weaving of stories, interviews, and reflections will inspire you to respond to God’s call with no reserve.

The greatest modern evangelist joins the greatest modern interviewer in this remarkable look into the heart of a pastor, a father, and one of the most admired men in history.

Thanks! Graham's appeal has always been a mystery to me, so maybe I'll learn something here.
