Unhappy Can't read SD card

Hey folks,

I just flashed my EZReader (hanlin-v3ext) with the latest firmware (oi-hanlin-v3ext-install-20110119.zip). It flashed successfully, but as with the last build I tried, I still can't access anything on an external SD card.

I have an 8 GB SD card plugged in with a bunch of ebooks on there. It's formatted "msdos" (according to Nautilus), and it worked fine with the regular vendor firmware.

Any ideas?

You can access the device via ssh and see what dmesg spits out if you put the card in. You could also try backing up the sd card and make your hanlin format it. (ssh and mkfs.vfat /dev/mmc{something}) Did i mention backup? Good luck

Hey Pelesz. It worked beautifully. I formatted the card from within the device's root shell account with the card inserted.

My only concern is that I can't seem to find the mkfs.ext3 binary. I don't really like old FAT file system because it can't handle special characters well and many of the ebooks that I have use internationalized file names.

Does the kernel support other file systems?

Great! Other fs' aren't supported yet, ext2/3 would be really nice though.
