how to change nook2's wifi setting

I need to set the static ip address and special DNS, but how to do it on nook2?
I have booted my nook, and no problem to connect wifi...

you don't. appears to use/need dhcp

Thanks very much upstairs, but I know nothing of the technique, what's dhcp? you meant I couldn't do it on my nook touch?

Sometimes it isn't a matter of need but of necessity (by edict of a tyrannical -- and probably anal -- network admin).

Not everyone is the master of their network.

That's a possibility, but I was asking the OP. Sometimes people think they need something when they really don't.

I'm on a static netwook too. Thinking about upgrading to N2E. Has anyone rooted and got the wifistatic app to work on N2E?
