Question Pasting plaintext into description field

Why is my default description font size 24 px Noto Google font? I started having this issue recently, where what I thought was plaintext that I paste into a book's description field is changed into that font/size in the HTML tags.

For example, why do I have these sort of tags:
Code:
<div style="font-size: 24px; font-family: 'Noto Sans [GOOG]', sans-serif;">
?

Where are you copying the text from, if it's from a website then you're probably copying the HTML tags from there - get something that will allow you to paste scrubbed text.

As an addendum to what BetterRed suggested, what I do is open Windows notepad and paste the text there, then copy it from notepad and paste it into its final destination. Pasting it to notepad removes any styling.

I usually bypass the Notepad and just use the HTML source to paste in metadata. Only big downside...you lose paragraphs, but still...

Amongst others, there's this tool ==>> PureText.

I suggest you don't use the default hotkey (Winkey+V) because that's now used by MS's Snip & Sketch.
