ZoteroRefsImport - Imports Zotero refs into epubs
Imports Zotero refs and creates a new bibliography section in epubs Requirements Plugin Type: Edit MIT Licence(OSI) Minimum Sigil requirement: v0.9.3 or higher Python Requirements: Python 3.4+ (Bundled or External) OS Requirements: Windows, Linux or OSX *** Tested on Windows 7, 8 & 10 only *** Current Version: "0.1.1" Installation * Select Manage Plugins from the Plugins menu. In the dialog box, select either the Bundled Python or the External Python(Python 3.4+ should be installed on your computer to run this plugin externally). * Click Add Plugin and select ZoteroRefsImport_vXXX.zip. This will load and install the plugin into Sigil, which you can then run by selecting Plugins > Edit > ZoteroRefsImport. Description This plugin can import bibliographical ref items(in CMOS author-date style only) from a Zotero export file which can then be used to automatically create a new bibliography or reference section at the end of the epub. This plugin also gives users more formatting control over the imported bib ref items(See User Options for details). Note: This plugin should only be used to import Zotero files containing bib refs that are formatted using Zotero's Chicago Style(CMOS). If you use any other bib ref formatting style with Zotero other than CMOS styles(there are over 400 different styles available in Zotero) then you will probably get errors. User Options(via dialog) This dialog allows the user to further format all imported bibliographical ref entries in the following way: * Remove all hanging indents -- Converts all entries to block text format * Remove all italics formatting -- Removes italic formatting from all entries. * Remove all hyperlink formatting -- Removes hyperlink formatting from all entries. * Delete all hyperlinks -- Deletes hyperlinks from all entries. * Add text justification for all entries -- Adds text justify for all entries Plugin Run Adding a new bibliography or reference section to your epub in Sigil * In the Zotero app, select all required ref items using click/shift-click. * Then right click and choose Create Bibliography from items... * In the Create Citation/Bibliography dialog, choose your CMOS style(author-date style only), ensure that Bibliography and Save as HTML are selected and then click OK. Save the Zotero file to your desktop. * In Sigil, create a new blank file section by right-clicking on the Text directory in the Book Browser and select Add Blank HTML File. Be sure to click and select this new blank file and then just run the plugin All imported refs will now be consecutively numbered in the epub section(added in v0.1.1). Caveat Please note that this plugin only guarantees success without error if users import Zotero files containing refs that are only formatted using Chicago Style's 'author-date' format. And if any other Zotero styles are used other than CMOS then this will also generate errors. You can also use this plugin in two ways. You can either add all your bib ref items to a bibliography or ref section all in one hit. Or you can add(append) your bib ref items one at a time or in smaller groups using Zotero and the plugin multiple times on the same bibliography or reference section. Changes: Spoiler:
