It's Android 2.1 if that matters. Looks like it has the Kobo app preinstalled which doesn't support DRM. I guess you can load another app that does.

7" Color Touchscreen and Trackball / Android 2.1 / Voice Recorder / WiFi / microSD Slot / HDMI Output / Music and Video Player
Seems like the Ematic Eglide Pro is setting traditional e-book readers on fire. Light up your reading life as e-books blend with access to Android 2.1 apps, along with WiFi Internet Browsing.

Store and read thousands of E-books, supporting the most popular formats such as TXT, LRC, PDF, HTM, and EPUB. (Does not support DRM Protected content)

"LRC"? That's a new one on me, especially given that it claims to be one of "the most popular formats". Anyone know what LRC format is?

EDIT: Perhaps it's a typo for "PRC"? But which flavour of PRC, I wonder? Mobi?

LRF is certainly a possibility, but it's a pretty obscure format! I suspect PRC (Mobipocket) is the correct reading, but we'll probably never know .

800 x 480 resolution

May be best to save a few more pennies and get something with a much better display for around $200.

The design reminds me of the Nokia N900 etc, which is a good thing

Cant say it'd make sense for reading, but for playing around with and for a handy network tool at a decent price and with a physical keyboard, quite tempting.

LRC - A annotation format originally intended for Lyrics. It can also be used for read along eBooks. It is a text file that can be synced with audio or video files with an appropriate program.
