Google Docs Viewer on Mobile Browsers

http://googlemobile.blogspot.com/201...-browsers.html

Quote:
Last week, we announced that the Google Docs viewer supports .doc and .docx attachments. Today we’re also releasing a mobile version of the Google Docs viewer for Android, iPhone and iPad to help you view PDFs, .ppt, .doc and .docx files you’ve uploaded to your documents list, without needing to download the file.
Just a viewer, but you don't need an app anymore to view PDFs, Powerpoint, and .DOC files. Works well on the iPad-but wish it had a full screen view.

Some caveats noted here:

Unfortunately for Google, iPhone's built-in PDF reader and Microsoft Office viewer are much better than Google Docs Viewer because they don't convert documents to images. Some Android phones include a document viewer based on Quickoffice, which also does a better job than Google Docs Viewer. There's also Adobe Reader for Android, probably the best Android PDF reader you can download for free.
