Mini Looking for a way to run Android apps on Mini

Hello.

I just got a Mini and I was wondering if I could run android apps on it somehow?

short answer, no.

long answer, maybe but it's a lot more work than it's probably worth.

Kobo runs on a *nix, not Android. So you'd need to install android, get that all set up and working, and then install the app.

While this can, maybe, technically be done, the results are generally not great and involve a lot of work to set up.

There are some things you can install like KOReader which do not require as much work, and are easier to recover from a botched install.

From memory, there is a thread about running Android on a Mini. But, it will be a fairly old version of Android, and overall, I'd agree with @MGlitch about how successful it would be.

Not all the above are success stories. But all back up that without an external sd card slot the chance of critical failure increases. I’m not sure if a improperly imaged card would mount which would mean you’d have to replace it and image it with the appropriate kobo image.
