reginfo is a file NOT a folder. That's why the recipe does not work with you. Just put reginfo file in the Kindle root (it'll be: /mnt/us/ in command-line shell), then run USBNetwork, then connect via Telnet or SSH and type: PHP Code:
Or you can copy it from here: http://mobileread.com/forums/showpos...1&postcount=79 Last edited by meem; 08-29-2010 at 06:34 PM. |

But after I put reginfo file in the Kindle root and type cp /mnt/us/reginfo /var/local/java/prefs/reginfo via Telnet, system appears this : cp: cannot start ' /mnt/us/reginfo' : No such file or directory

That means you haven't a reginfo file in the root of Kindle flash storage.
Where you put it ? |

Make sure you haven't accidentally saved the reginfo file with an extension and Windows is just not showing the extension. Either configure Windows to show all extensions, or when you're connected to the Kindle:
cd /mnt/us/ ls -la make sure reginfo is listed and doesn't have any kind of extension (.xml .txt ...etc) |

You have reginfo.ini not just reginfo. So, You must remove file extension, or don't, simply use this command: PHP Code:
