Conversion Question re Length of book name
Have an epub called Santa Montefiore - [Deverill 02] - Daughters of Castle Deverill.epub
Want to convert it to a Kindle version (azw3) called DC03-The Last Secret of the Deverills-2017, with the name of Santa Montefiore as the author. What I put into Calibre as the name is DC03-The Last Secret of the Deverills-2017 and convert it to azw3, but what I get is a book called DC03-The Last Secret of the Dev - Santa Montefiore.azw3. The book name appears to be limited to 31 characters and anything beyond that is truncated. Is there a setting within Calibre that I need to change to allow for longer book names? Thanks in advance for any help, JeffB |

file names have length limits (calibre adjusts the names to keep them valid)
BUT Kindles use internal metadata for their displays. The Metadata plugboard can be used to stuff non-kindle standard metadata into the field. eg {series_index}-{title} --> Title |
