Hodgson, William Hope: The House On The Borderland. June 2007

Great Supernatural dark fiction in the tradition of Lovecraft. Lost travelers find a ruined house on a cliff and Lo and behold, The 'house' is on the Borderland between our world and ... ANOTHER ONE!... DA DA DA DAAAHH!!! Sweet stuff. They find an old manuscript and begin reading it... the story is the manuscript. A guy who hung out in the awful house and ... Went places. Places far far away (If you know what I mean, and I think you do!)

Chapter titles like

The Thing in the Pit!

After the attack!

The Noise In The Night.

Thge Thing From The Arena.

(And my favorite)

The End Of The Solar System...

Batten down your hatches and turn on all the lights for this one.

Rumour has it that Lovecraft got many of his ideas from Hodgson.
I'm going to post another file here soon. The collected short stories of Hodgson. And The Boats of Glen Carig.

Enjoy.

Dr. No I didn't get your email. I prolly sent you the wrong address... Its Twtruffles@integrity.com

I've been searching online for Hodgson short stories and there's a huge amount of info about him. I'm not sure if some of the short stories I've downloaded are in other collections since I'm not reading all the texts first before Formatting them.

Maybe I should leave the Hodgson stuff to you Dr. You'r the expert in this area. I'd be happy to leave this to you since I think he's a fairly important Author in this Genre.
The only thing I've read besides snippets as I've been formatting is The dream of X from Donald Grants press.

I just finished formatting The Boats Of Carig and will upload it in a few minutes.

For any fan of Lovecraft. this is where it all started. Lovecraft has acknowledged his debt to this story. This story goes further though, than anything H.P. ever wrote. One of the most bizarre pieces of literature ever. If you are a fan of the weird, you have to read this story! Thanks Roy!
