Kindle 4 Cant connect to wifi

Hello, i have just jailbreaked my kindle 4 using these 2 guides https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Kindle4NTHacking https://github.com/koreader/koreader...Kindle-devices and used the KUAL launcher. My tablet says its connected to the wifi but the ads say "please connect wirelessly" and when i try to look at the wifi info in koreader it says "No default gateway to ping" below the name of the network its connected to.
Is there a step that i missed or messed up? Since i used the first guide before i found the second i might of ended up with the wrong files even though it seems to worked correctly for the most part.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Just realized i have a kindle 5, when i looked up the model number before google was showing kindle 4 but amazonforum says the black one is kindle 5

Im able to go to google.com through the experimental browser so i know it is connected, i guess its koreader thats having issues

That means it is a K4NT (for Kindle 4 non-touch, i.e. it has buttons, not a touch screen). There is also a Kindle 4 touch model, which has different software. See the wiki for all known kindle models and their nick names that are used here.

I used the news downloader feature and it worked so i guess some things work and some things dont, like the calibre stuff. I found this thread where someone mentioned having the same issue https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...ed#post4093547

I went and asked about it on koreaders github.
Heres all the info i have atm.
KOReader version:20201.05
Device: Kindle 4 S/N prefix 902317 Model N:d01100
Issue
Tablet gives 2 alternating messages "No default gateway to ping" and "No default gateway to ping" below the name of the network its connected to in wifi info. The internet works when i use the tablets experimental browser and koreaders news downloader feature. But when i try the use the calibre feature(which is part of why i wanted koreader) it gives me a message saying "Do you want to turn on the Wi-Fi?" even though it is connected.

Steps to reproduce
Select "Connect" under Calibre in the koreader menu

crash.log (if applicable)

I found the answer to the issue here https://github.com/koreader/koreader/issues/5703

"Disabling user/password auth = Works
Enabling user/pass auth with auth=auto = Error 400 (even with no user/pass specified)
Enabling user/pass auth with auth=digest = Error 400 (even with no user/pass specified)
Enabling user/pass auth with auth=basic = Works"

Unfortunately im now encountering a new issue with manually entering the ip/port address
