Language detection

Hi,

Does anybody know how to specify in Calibre the language in which a book is written (the language, not the encoding), so the EPUB resulting will have the feature
in the content.opf file properly set?

If I convert a book from an HTML lacking the lang property, the resulting EPUB has
(undefined), and as a result there is no hyphenation in readers like Ibooks...

I actually thought Calibre could set this - I'm pretty sure the under the hood support is there, but you're correct that it doesn't seem to be in the GUI.

I'm not sure of a Calibre solution for you, but you should be able to use Sigil to edit arbitrary metadata quite easily.

Adding support for setting boko languages via the GUI is on the TODO list.
