Yes, I dropped the cover setting cause the conversion plugin handles that. So does the driver plugin. So creating a KePub through either a conversion or by sending a book to a device is (supposed to be) guaranteed to have cover image property set if there's a cover image to set.

Strictly, you are right. But, it was an act to cover all bases in case it hadn't happened for some reason. It probably should have a check to see if it is there and add it if needed.
Actually, there should be a check to make sure the correct image file is selected when the cover is updated. EPUBMedataWriter is doing the actual update. That takes an educated guess, but kepubs have the cover image marked. We should be making sure that only that image is changed. And if no image is marked, choosing one. I do remember thinking about this when I wrote the original code. I hadn't gotten around to revisiting it and had forgotten about it. |

Ohhh, I see! Yea, I'll add a chunk of code in so the metadata writer uses the same logic as the conversions for setting the cover image. I think I'll have to go back and find your original code though, I seem to recall from looking at it that the metadata writer works on an opened stream.

Slightly amended request for books - I'd like, if possible, the original encrypted KePub from Kobo as well as the decrypted version that I can actually play with. I need to check some stuff around rights.xml.

I cannot save books to disk in kepub format because of this error message. Can you help?

Well. That's embarrassing. I'll do my best to have a new version pushed today (Pacific time zone), it looks like a simple fix.

OK, maybe my tests are missing a code path. Can you tell me what you're doing, step by step, and I'll make sure to follow your steps?
