Calibre and Kindle Touch: Error Communicating with Device

Hi there,
Been using my Kindle Touch with calibre for more than 2 years now without any problems. Since last 2 weeks, been repeatedly getting this error, subsequent to which I'm unable to transfer books to Kindle.
OS: Ubuntu 14.04 and Windows 7. The error occurs on both OSes.

Otherwise, Kindle works fine and am able to read and use it normally.

Any help to get calibre to function normally with Kindle would be highly appreciated.

Thanks for the help. The Kindle now works fine with Calibre.
