Zero to sub zero temperatures, and a dull, overcast day. Otherwise, a nice day!

After a couple of weeks of alternating mild and freezing days, this morning we awoke to find the area blanketed in thick fog, with freezing temperatures!

It’s a lousy winter wonderland here. Snowed all day yesterday.
Snow, how I hate it. And the WaPo had a tantalizing headline about how most places can’t expect a white Christmas because of climate change/high temps this coming week. Couldn’t read it; it would have been too depressing. |

Following what was apparently the coldest night for many years, we are blanketed in white this morning; strangely, although the temperature is minus 2 degrees, it feels no colder than yesterday, when it was a luxuriant plus 4!

Expecting a white Christmas this weekend. The last one happened four years ago.

It wasn't a bad day, today. The high temperature was 36°, it was sunny and there wasn't much of a breeze -- so, with a coat on, it was pretty comfortable. And just about right for the end of December. Christmas should be in the mid-40s and rainy.

Weather has been in the 30s F. today. 40s yesterday until after dark when it dropped to the 30s. I would like more of this for Christmas (no snow), but rain is predicted and it might get up to 48-50. (New York City)

We've had a couple of cold days, where temperatures didn't get above 2C. During the evening and night temperatures rose to 9C. But it'll drop tonight and we're in for another couple of colder days. At least it was dry and we've had some sun. It looks Christmas this year is grey with rain and possibly some snow.
