Installing on Asus Flip C302

Need some help setting up Calibre on my Asus Flip C302. I enabled developer mode and linux is up and running. Are these instructions up to date with all the latest installs for Caliber? If not can someone let me know what needs to be installed

Just remember that with a Chrome OS device, calibre will NOT be able to identify an attached USB device.

Peters warning had was about reducing your expectations. ChromeOS does not support USB device (Calibre) detection. It has nothing to do with Installation.
(But why go to all that effort if it won't then support how you plan to use it. )

Once you have calibre installed and running, you can access your eReader using calibre's Connect to folder feature (found within the Connect/share menu option).

However, before the eReader is accessible to calibre, you need to go the Chrome OS files application, right click on the eReader in the left hand panel and select Share with Linux. Once this is done, you can find the eReader's file system at /mnt/chromeos/removable. In my case the device appears as /mnt/chromeos/removable/KOBOeReader. Just remember though that the device will just appear as a storage device, and not use any of the functions of the device driver (in my case the KoboTouch driver).

Also the dismounting of the device needs to be done from both calibre AND Chrome OS file application.

I wonder if it would be possible to change the Folder Device Interface plugin to specify another device driver to use (and of course let the other device driver use the folder name as the base location for their processing?
