In many case 'digital content' is equivalent to read a WEB page. For study a WEB page, I use Scrapbook and export the page on my e-reader, it's better or print it. But with an e-reader we can have the same presentation than the paper version when the EPUB is good or with the PDF file (maybe the best format for technical books), in this case I suppose that difference with the paper version is very low, with a big advantage : the weight, especially with more 100 books in the e-reader. Obviously, it could be true with big screen 8" or more to have a size comparable to the paper's size of the same text.
