FWIW, I love this series. Even though this is book one of The Uncharted Realms and could be read by itself, I would recommend reading the Twelve Kingdoms series first or at least The Crown of the Queen which is a bridge novella between the two series.

Thanks I almost missed these.

I'm on my third Susan Elizabeth Phillips book.

Started with First Lady which turn out to be a 5 star read for me then went back and read Glitter Baby and was totally turned off by it but I was told it was in the style of a Jackie Collins novel not really romance I had to find one which I will say is so not for me. I think I stopped on the second chapter.
I never read anything like Glitter Baby before. Super twisted. I'm now finishing up Fancy Pants which is a roller coaster read. The hero is a super jerk but love the heroine.
