I signed up for notifications in the mystery category yesterday, got the first email this morning. The advertised books were all from well known authors at pretty goood prices. One was rather tempting, but I think I can get it from the library, so I passed.

Nope. I got a notification this morning on such a book.

I have nothing but trouble with that "I own a copy of this book" field anyway. I check it and it doesn't show as checked in list mode, it ends up with multiple copies because it seems to add a copy if you edit and save, and there's no way to populate it automatically using the Calibre plugin.

My Goodreads To-Read shelf is filled with books I already own. I don't use it as a wish list. I'm not interested in price drops. The daily emails remind me of BookBub. I will probably opt out of the Goodreads daily email since the deals on BookBub are temptation enough!

Where/how? Looking for this and I must be stupid because I don't see it.

As for the topic, I signed up for it. I want to know if the books I want to read drop in price (I only own some of them, after all).

It's not direct. You have to edit the review and then I think there's a button for "I own a copy". It's a reminiscence of the functionality of book swap (or similar).

Enter My Books, see owned books there:

Then choose Add books I've shelved.
