Kobo Glo does not see Library fron Calibre
After using Calibre for several years now with my Glo I got the following error after upgrading to the latest version, I did check all the items in the "device can not connect" thread but they are all ok.
the device itself is seen in Calibre, it also connects but it does not allow me to see the library. I get this error: calibre, version 2.64.0 FOUT: Fout: Fout bij communicatie met apparaat SQLError: no such table: dbversion Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 87, in run File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\device.py", line 503, in _books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 1664, in books File "site-packages\calibre\devices\kobo\driver.py", line 165, in get_database_version File "c:\cygwin64\home\kovid\sw\build\apsw-3.8.2-r1\src\cursor.c", line 990, in APSWCursor_execute.sqlite3_prepare File "c:\cygwin64\home\kovid\sw\build\apsw-3.8.2-r1\src\statementcache.c", line 386, in sqlite3_prepare SQLError: SQLError: no such table: dbversion Anybody knows what this means? a WAG
The Kobo DB is damaged or missing an internal table the Calibre driver needs to read |

I believe the usual advice is to log out and back in to the device.

Yes, the table "dbversion" is missing from the database on the device. The driver reads this to get the version of the database to make decisions on exactly what it can do. If it is missing, then the database on the device is corrupt (or someone has been been fiddling with it). Unless you have a recent backup of the database, the fix is to sign out of the Kobo account and then back in.
