This plugin is a remake of a previously existing one (https://github.com/Mimerr/comicalibre) All thanks and credit to Mimerr for the original.

I re-made it at a time when the original had fallen out of maintenance and wasn't actually working any more.

I've also added some features I wanted like multi-threading and rate-limiting.

I wrote it for my own use, but if it is of any use to anyone else, great.

Hi, I'm maintaining now another comicvine metadata plugin (https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=347827), it might be interesting to compare functionality?

I have been unsuccessful in getting any results using this plugin. Have tried different variations on the title with no luck.

Even with the comic-vine ID I don't get a result returned.

Did you check the CalibreCV.txt file in the zip? There are some requirements to add new custom columns. Then one of the three methods of entering the Comic Vine series and issue IDs needs to be spot on.

It works for me on current versions of Calibre under Windows and Linux.
