Newbie Winrar and Calibre Worker Process Issue
Hi All,
Just stumbled on this forum and wondered if any members can suggest a resolution for an issue I have. I downloaded a winrar zip file, thinking it was an epub file. When i attempted to transfer it to my Calibre ebook managment system, nothing happened. Upon opening the original file, it seems it was an mp3 file ( I know stupid me!). I tried to delete the file (from my PC desktop) and keep getting a message that "the folder is open in Calibre worker process" I managed to open the Calibre debug file but haven't a clue what it actually means, but have copied and pasted it here in the hope that someone may be able to help. Here's what the debug file shows: calibre 3.35 [64bit] embedded-python: True is64bit: True Windows-10-10.0.17134-SP0 Windows ('64bit', 'WindowsPE') ('Windows', '10', '10.0.17134') Python 2.7.12+ Windows: ('10', '10.0.17134', 'SP0', u'Multiprocessor Free') Interface language: en_GB USB devices on system: (USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub&vid1022&pid7807&rev0039 devinst=2), USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub&vid1022&pid7807&rev0039 devinst=3), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x17ef product_id=0x602d bcd=0x130 devid=usb\vid_17ef&pid_602d&rev_0130 devinst=4), USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub20&vid1022&pid7808&rev0039 devinst=5), USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub30&vid1022&pid7814&rev0001 devinst=6), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x17ef product_id=0x602d bcd=0x130 devid=usb\vid_17ef&pid_602d&rev_0130&mi_00 devinst=7), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x46d product_id=0xc016 bcd=0x340 devid=usb\vid_046d&pid_c016&rev_0340 devinst=8), USBDevice(vendor_id=0xbda product_id=0x129 bcd=0x3960 devid=usb\vid_0bda&pid_0129&rev_3960 devinst=9), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x1058 product_id=0x830 bcd=0x1065 devid=usb\vid_1058&pid_0830&rev_1065 devinst=10), USBDevice(vendor_id=0x17ef product_id=0x602d bcd=0x130 devid=usb\vid_17ef&pid_602d&rev_0130&mi_01 devinst=11), USBDevice(vendor_id=None product_id=None bcd=None devid=usb\root_hub20&vid1022&pid7808&rev0039 devinst=12)) No disabled plugins Looking for devices of type: MTP_DEVICE List of WPD PNP ids: [u'\\\\?\\swd#wpdbusenum#{bff096b2-0b87-11e8-a181-40f02f5a0854}#0000000000100000#{6ac27878-a6fa-4155-ba85-f98f491d4f33}'] No suitable MTP devices found Looking for devices of type: SMART_DEVICE_APP All IP addresses {'{E48A1958-083D-11E8-A17A-806E6F6E6963}': [{'netmask': u'255.255.255.255', 'addr': u'127.0.0.1', 'broadcast': u'127.0.0.1'}], '{CDF3C19D-13A9-4F5A-9DA8-00CE4B31422D}': [{'netmask': u'255.255.255.255', 'addr': u'192.168.0.10', 'broadcast': u'192.168.0.10'}]} No device is connected Looking for devices... Try closing calibre before deleting the zip.

Hi thanks for the reply.
I have solved it the problem. I moved the zip file directly into Calibre where it showed up as a zip file, i then deleted it from calibre. Simple when you know how. HS54 |
