I'm really torn -- I think the early Angela Thirkell books are great good fun. But I've already read Wild Strawberries. So I guess I'll use my last ticket to second The Secret History of the Pink Carnation. I might end up reading it regardless, just to see how it relates to The Scarlet Pimpernel, which I'm definitely going to listen to now that I have a Wanda McCaddon narration of it.

I already know I've got to give Willig a spin, no matter what. My inner 11-year old requires it. My OD libraries have, so it's definitely happening.

Yes, my Overdrive has it, and has it available without a wait. There's even an Audible version (but not at the Library, however.)

I've been informed that Wild Strawberries is available in the UK for £3.99. I've updated the relevant posts above. Not that I'm pushing it or anything!

We currently have three that need a third, and three that need both a second and a third. It would be good if someone with tickets left could help those books along. ESPECIALLY The Water Rat of Wanchai (aka: The Deadly Touch of the Tigress), of course.

I will third The Water Rat of Wanchai.
I'm torn between Wild Strawberries and Pink Carnation for my last one. I would prefer WS but it needs 2 votes still while PC only needs one. Getting it Right isn't available at my library. I guess I have a couple hours, maybe I will research in a little more depth while avoiding US Election coverage. |

Me, I'm living and dying with the coverage, I absolutely can't look away till I KNOW, and I'm intermittently feeling sick and not sick. I'm flipping between channels, checking Web sites, and drinking wine--either to celebrate or to drown my sorrows; right now, who knows?

I hope that I'm not crossing the line into politics here if I observe that I find mentions of the elections in a thread with "Guilty Pleasures" in the title ironic. Donald Trump seems to be the jealously guarded guilty (and secret) pleasure of many voters.
