Oppenheim, E Phillips: Slane's Long Shots (1930); v1
Originally published as a series of short stories in Collier's Weekly. I could find no decent cover so made one of my own using my imaginary imprint "Black Museum" and one of the superb Colliers illustrations from 1930.
A collection of stories featuring Slane, the aristocratic amateur detective. 1: Who Killed Montague Brest? 2: The Little Marquis 3: Mariote's Hour of Agony 4: The Thirteenth Card 5: The Man Without a Tie 6: Neap-Tide Madness 7: Not Slane's Star Turn 8: Gentleman Bill 9: The Troublesome Kingdom of Selm 10: The Golden Bird Of Mallory This work is assumed to be in the Life+70 public domain OR the copyright holder has given specific permission for distribution.
