Thumbs up Free (Kindle) The Secret of Seven Oaks by Juanita Coulson [Supernatural Horror]

The Secret of Seven Oaks by author and noted filksinger Juanita Coulson (ISFDB, Wikipedia, Science Fiction Encyclopedia) is her vintage standalone contemporary supernatural horror tale, featuring terrifying family secrets reluctantly investigated by a newcomer to the obligatory creepy village, free courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint, who are e-printing it from its 1972 edition originally out from Berkley's Medallion imprint.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and pretty much everywhere else that Amazon sells worldwide, since this is being done via their KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

And this has been the selected 3rd (non-repeat) free ebook thread of the day.

Because even though horror is really not my kind of thing, it's nice to see Endeavour generously offering us another one of their Venture reprints to try, after the long hiatus.

Incidentally, if you happen to have particularly enjoyed some of the authors they've offered us in the past, it looks as though a number of their titles have been marked down to just 99 cents (usually around $2.99-ish).

Enjoy!

Description
What was the secret of Seven Oaks?

When Ellen Chalmers came to the village of Seven Oaks to be the companion of mentally-ill Diane Young, she was still mourning the death of her fiancé.

But Diane and her brothers Barrett and Andrew had had more than their share of sorrow.

Shadowed by the uncanny prophecies of the Tarot, Ellen becomes involved in a terrifying family struggle that first began more than ten years ago.

Ellen is obsessed and must investigate…

What was the secret of Seven Oaks?

The Secret of Seven Oaks is a thrilling supernatural horror tale told in the classic tradition, sure to delight and terrify fans of Stephen King and Simon Clark.
