London Guardian and Kindle Advice

The Guardian (a UK newspaper) has a useful technology supplement on Thursdays, with a generally very helpful advice column.
Today, someone asked about the Amazon Kindle. It was a bit disappointing to see that Jack Schofield, the columnist, hadn't realised that most of the kindle features don't work outside the USA. Normally, he is rather brilliant and I often search this section for answers to computer-related problems.

Just an FYI not really related to your post, but as of yesterday, the Kindle now carries 3 UK based newspapers (The Independent, The Times and The Financial Times). Maybe there *is* hope for a UK launch.

The answer he gave is awful. It says almost nothing at all. And some of it is actually wrong. Who let him near a computer?

To be fair, he is normally spot on with his advice. But it shows that a lot of technosavvy people don't know that much about reading devices.
