The same will happen to the publishers that do not get on board. They really need to do their sums or they will end up like the tobacco industry. Overrun with chop chop and crime gangs. Or is this taking it too far
I agree with you re publishers. I don't know what's going on there. Even our government is going full speed in reverse with the recent parallel import ban decision.
Some bookstores have tried though. I bought my first e-reader (Irex Iliad) back in 2007 in Dymocks (Gorge St, Sydney). They were really keen on the whole e-reader scene back then. I remember talking to the store manager about all the plans they had.

I went with a cover from M-Edge and their reading light, which isn't a clip-on, but rather tucks into the cover quite conveniently, both for use and for storage. Because I spend most of my day on the computer, I find the non-backlit reader is much easier on the eyes.
Yup, I use calibre too. It's much better than the Sony software! And yup, I find the non-backlit reader much easier on the eyes as well!

Wow.. back in 2007! I wonder what happened to all those plans that they had.. imagine if e-readers had taken off in Aus back then!

As promised! My Oberon cover arrived today - I ordered it on the 25th, it was in the post on the 27th and it's arrived at my place on the 31st! Not bad for something that came all the way from the US and had to be handmade!

And what can I say? Pictures don't do it justice. It's one of the most gorgeous covers that I have seen. I just can't capture the actual colour using a camera. The detail is amazing and the workmanship is something I can't fault on. I looked it over just to find something out of place but there is nothing! And my reader feels so much safer in it than the flimsy Sony cover that came with it. Here are some pics!

That's a really nice cover. Funny thing for me is I do more reading in the summer than in the winter. I love being outside on the deck reading a book and e-ink readers are amazing for that. Even better than regular paper if you ask me.

Hi everyone,

i have the prs-600 and i mostly study my university books wich contain math formulas with greek signs (alpha, sigma, delta and ...)
and i have these problems :
1. the zoom function doesnt work with pages that contain multiple pics
2. on the pages that the zoom works, the greeks letters are showed wring like delta is shown " i! " or some times like (")

its really bothering me and i cant read with it...i checked it on computer...if i copy the text from the adobe reader to microsoft word the signs are shown just like when i use the zoom function on my reader...

can some one help me with this?
does anyone else have this problem?

Hi Kaveh,

No one seems to have replied, most probably because this wasn't the most appropriate thread to put your problem in. Why don't you start a new thread in the Sony sub-forum addressing the issue, and I am sure there are people out there who can help you out!
