CC and reader selections

Recently installed CC 3.3.4 on an Asus Memo Pad FHD 10 running 4.3OS.
When I select a pdf item to read, I get a "Choose reader:" menu with some reader apps. The apps listed are "MyLibrary", "ThinkFree Office Viewer", "Amazon Kindle" and "ezPDF Reader". I have been using ezPDF reader but wanted to try others like Moon+ Reader and Cool Reader. I have installed the latter two and they show up as options for epub files but not for pdf files.

I have a couple questions:
- can I have the builtin "MyLibrary" and "ThinkFree Office Viewer" not show up as options? I don't think I can remove those apps unless I root the device.

- How can I get Moon+ Reader and Cool Reader to show up as options for pdf files?

Thanks
John

Are you using the Pro version of moon+Reader? Because I think only the Pro supports PDF files.

Thanks for the quick reply. I wasn't using the pro version of Moon+ reader.

Somehow I got the impression that the two reader apps also supported pdf.

Thanks again.

If the apps advertise in the OS that they support PDF then they will showup. Moon+ Reader Pro supports PDF.

Not that I am aware.

Neither Cool Reader or the free version of Moon+Reader support PDF.

No. There isn't any way to tell CC not to display an app advertizing that it is capable of handling a file type.
