Add Read/Unread metadata from custom column to metadata jacket

Hi everyone, I have a custom column in Calibre for read/unread books where the value is yes/no. I have had success editing the metadata jacket template to include other custom columns with numerical values (word count etc) but no luck adding the read/unread info. Does anyone know how to do this?

I suspect you need to change a 'logical' into a string.
But I don't how to do this in Python

It just comes up as a semicolon : in the metadata page
Ideally I would like to have it say Read:yes or Read:no but I'm not sure how to do so

If your custom column yes/no has name: #read

Code:

Read: {_read}

Note that the # is replaced by an underscore.
