AZW3 books

I wish that someone would start a section (perhaps a subthread) for uploading AZW3 books separate from the Kindle ebooks. While it's true that the Kindle ebook reader can read books in that format and in fact converts books to that format when they are uploaded the Send to Kindle app itself cannot see books that are in that format directly. You have to put any such books through Calibre and convert them to Mobi files before the app can see them. You can't just download a book in AZW3 format from the library and then use the Send to Kindle App to send it to your Kindle. To me that smacks of AWZ3 being a different format entirely.

Looks like that is a bug in the Send to Kindle app.

You can load AZW3 from Calibre no trouble, no need to change to Mobi. Maybe in future I should add two versions: .mobi and .azw3 instead of one.

"Send to Kindle" app is not known to me; I use Calibre's own "Send to Device".
