Kindle Previewer "Internal Error" Voyage view
My annual thread for a problem I can't fix by myself . . . hope this is in the right forum.
Anyway, was formatting an ePub and testing it with Kindle Previewer 2.94 when suddenly, it started giving me "Internal Error" on the Voyage view . . . and only the Voyage view. I've been through google trying to fix it with X-11, Java etc and still no joy. Any suggestions? |

Gah. Completely uninstalled XQuartz/11 and installed an old version, and that worked to fix Previewer... ...but seems to have broken FontForge. And XQuartz itself. And god knows what else :-/ I hate Macs. Last edited by Kamikuza; 12-08-2016 at 09:56 AM. |

BTW, if you installed the Kindle Previewer 3.6 beta version, you might want to install Kindle Previewer 2.9.4, which is much more stable. This also happens with some files on Windows machines. |

Yes, and yes.
Done and done. 3.6 is no good for previewer epubs because it won't display in e-reader mode Not that I've encountered with funny little scraps of software. Usually it works or doesn't, and the fault is usually easy to get at and fix eg. a corrupt driver or something. Everything is hidden on the mac, can't even delete the java or xquartz, and have no control over it |
