Do you think that besides the bigger screen it will perform much better than our iLiad will do with an improved note taking application and pen customization?

the a5 version is quite cool - and with A4 it might me really suitable for productive use (you know, like buying one for someone with a fine hand to create a script right during the lecture)

But, as TaKir pointed out, no reading capabilities.

Egads, you wait long enough and everything old becomes new again.

The Cross pen folks created the CrossPad about 10 years ago. They had a Letter and A4 sized device before they closed it down.

Or an A4 notepad plus a flatbed scanner plus a Sony adds up to iLiad work-alike.

Why won't it read?

I haven't researched it too extensively, but if it can recognize notetaking, why couldn't it be hacked to read files?

Edit:To clarify, I'd think more computing power is needed to process the notes than would be needed to read text files.

well, you could hack it by adding a printer and a way to tear a sheet away and dispose it.

Then you would have a true iliad work-alike
