KA1 on koreader v2015.11-80x light control doesnt work

Hello, I noticed on recent versions of koreader (dont know when exactly it started, so cannot track the precise version) that the light control on screen doesnt work when tapped. you cannot turn the light on or off. also you cannot control the intensity when swiping. it worked fine on version 728, but dont want to go that far back.

maybe this has something to do with the fact that I no longer have a module file named readerkobolight.lua ?
