Multiple editions of an eBook for sale?

Has anyone else ever seen it?

I found a book has two different editions by two different publishers (1, 2). Both of the publishers seem legit. A friend who's more familiar with the author said the newer one was a re-release after becoming famous, so I guess that has something to do with it.

I think sometimes Canadian purveyors can sell both the UK and the US editions of a book, although not as a rule. When I click on your links, I see one edition is sold in the US, but the other is not.

I've seen both the US and the UK editions pretty often.

One ebook I have, there are THREE versions listed on Goodreads, with the third marked "author's preferred edition". Readers of editions 1 and 2 (mine's 2), were clearly unwitting beta readers.

I have occasionally seen both US and UK editions of an ebook for sale in Germany and on one case in the UK.

This. latter is _Rifleman Dodd_ (US title)
_Death to the French_ (UK) author C S Forester.
