I need help confirming an issue with Count All + Case Sensitive + Calibre 32-bit

Hi, guys.

Please check this issue (#1263461) in the Calibre bugtracker.

As a summary: Count All does strange things when Case Sensitive is selected if you are running Calibre 32 bit or Portable, which I suppose it is also a 32bit app, (at least on a W-64 bit OS). But the issue is not present if running Calibre 64 bit. (And I don't know if the issue also happens with Calibre 32bit on a 32bit OS).

Nevertheless, could you test it, please?:
  • Grab the example book from the 3rd post in the bugtracker.
  • Open it in the Editor.
  • Select any text and Count All it with Case Sensitive active.
  • Confirm if you get a weird number of matches (anything but 1).
  • Post your Calibre "flavour" and running OS.
  • If you are in a Windows 64 bit machine and you can install the three possible Calibre versions available for you, I would be really grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Yes; it does seem to work quite differently between 32 bit and 64 bit versions, running under Windows 7.

32 bit: Opening the file "sinopsis.xhtml", typing "sinopsis" into the search box, mode "Normal", "All text files", "Down", "Case Sensitive" and "WraP, "Count all" returns 9.

Disabling "Case Senstive", "Count all" returns 1.

64 bit: Opening the file "sinopsis.xhtml", typing "sinopsis" into the search box, mode "Normal", "All text files", "Down", "Case Sensitive" and "WraP, "Count all" returns 1.

Disabling "Case Senstive", "Count all" returns 1.
