Built instrorage problem
If I download a book to my pc and then try to save it on the built in storage it will show as being there on the pc but is not visible on the reader.
Any books downloaded to the sd card work fine |

If you reconnect to your PC via USB, is the ebook still there?
I assume that when you switch to the built in storage on the Hanlin (OK -> 5), you can see directories and perhaps the User's Manual. It is just the new ebook you copied over that is missing? Note that files with unknown file extensions won't be displayed. |

Hi roytravis, perhaps you've filtered out your ebooks in favour of music files?
This thread might be helpful: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?p=330477 And.. it was very good to see you again today! Even though it was 41C. Last edited by cbell; 01-20-2009 at 03:32 AM. Reason: Added more |

Hi Wallcraft Yes I can see the book file when connected with the usb and yes again in the built in storage page on the reader the user manual shows, recent files and several pre loaded books.
There is also one book that I loaded successfully but I have no idea why. The files have prc extentions |

Hi cbell it certainly was hot yesterday a good time to stay indoors with my hanlin.
I have not loaded any music files and the hanlin does not appear to have the filter mentioned in the other thread. |

I have fixed the problem. It may help others if I describe the solution.
Firstly I connected the hanlin to another computer which happens to be running Vista. It came up with en error message when I opened the built in storage disc that there was a corrupt file on the disc. It offered to scan and fix the error however when I selected this option it came back with the message that it could not scan since the disc was in use. I then deleted the two books I have on the disc. The scan was then successfully achieved and I can now load books. |
