About Sunrise

Sunrise XP, by Laurens M. Fridael, converts web sites and newsfeeds for offline reading on your handheld.

Highlights
  • Easy-to-use interface.
  • Converts web sites and RSS/Atom feeds.
  • Updates multiple documents at a time.
  • Caches downloads to minimize use of bandwidth.
  • Updates documents at HotSync, providing AvantGo-like functionality.

Sunrise XP creates Plucker documents, which can be viewed with the Plucker Viewer for Palm OS or Vade Mecum for Pocket PC. In the future, Sunrise XP might offer support for other output formats, such as BBeB or CHM.

Sunrise XP is being actively developed. It is, however, still in alpha stage and as such may not yet be suitable as a full replacement for the Java version. The goal is to have a stable release by the end of March.
